Popular Bookstagram Myths That You Need To Avoid

In this blog, I have listed I’d some ways that might help you get around perceived Bookstagram myths and buck the trend. I've read so many posts about why it’s tough to grow as a bookstagrammer. If you're someone who just created a Bookstagram Account then you need to ignore these popular myths. 1. As long as you have a fairly recent camera phone that can take decent pictures, you're good to go. You can always enhance them through various apps. You really don't need to invest in expensive equipments to take bookish pictures.  2. This book had everything you could possibly want in a book. It had love, humour, loss, heartbreak, death, romance. The concept of not being able to open yourself to anyone because you are afraid you will break your heart again is ugh so emotional.  The book begins when Tate Collins, decides to move to her brother's apartment for a f

I am glad to say, it didn't disappoint. It was cute, entertaining, melodramatic and sweet at the same time with too much of drama. But I guess that’s mainly why it’s entertaining and it’s basically the meat of the plot. I also loved the author's description of Paris, it was probably my favourite part about this book. The story starts when Anna’s father decides it would be in her best interest to study abroad her Senior year, so Anna finds herself studying in Paris, but missing her life back in Atlanta. Gradually she becomes more comfortable with her new life and new friends – especially Γ‰tienne St. Clair. The more Anna finds her feelings for “St. Clair” changing from friendship to love, the more she is re

Book Review - Regretting You by Collen Hoover.

This was my fourth Collen Hoover book and I've come to the realisation that once you start reading her books, you JUST CAN'T STOP!. No matter, how flawed the characters are and no matter how weird and predictable the plot is, nothing can stop you. Her writing is honestly so engaging that it just pulls you right in.  Regretting You follows mother/daughter duo Morgan and Clara. Morgan had Clara when she was only 17, and put her dreams on hold to raise her daughter. The two love each other, but often clash due to their strong personalities. It delves into the complex relationship between a parent and a child, the challenges of growing up and seeking independence, and how to move on after tragedy. The reason I gave this book 3.5 stars is firstly because of Clara, the daughter. I'll be honest, I understand she was a teenager but at times, I felt she was really annoying and overly frustrating. Terrifying right!? That's exactly how I feel when I read about the Holocaust Victims. We truely can't envisage what they had to endure, at that time when there was no humanity left. This is the story of Helene Hannemann. She was tasked with caring for Auschwitz’s youngest prisoners. I admire Helene and her strength. She was storng, brave and fierce. She took care of her family and the inmates till her last breath. Being from the 'Aryan' race, she had every chance to stay behind and let the Nazi's take her five ch

Book Review : Romanov by Nadine Brandes

ROMANOV -  NADINE BRANDES "𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒔 π’Žπ’Šπ’π’†π’”, π’Žπ’†π’Žπ’π’“π’š, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 π’•π’Šπ’Žπ’†." Summary -  Anastasia “Nastya” Romanov was given a single mission: to smuggle an ancient spell into her suitcase on her way to exile in Siberia. It might be her family’s only salvation. But the leader of the Bolshevik army is after them, and he’s hunted Romanov before. Nastya’s only chances of saving herself and her family are to either release the spell and deal with the consequences, or enlist help from Zash, the handsome soldier who doesn’t act like the average Bolshevik. Nastya has only dabbled in magic, but it doesn’t frighten her half as much as her growing attraction to Zash. She likes him. She thinks he might even like her. That is, until she’s on one side of a firing squad . . . and he’s on the other.  Review First of all, I wasn't too familiar with the Russian History and I knew nothing about the Romanovs. So, I went on and did my own resear
