Shiver was the book I was really excited to read coz it kept popping up, on my feed with great reviews. I liked this book but I didn't love it. It was gripping, suspenseful and fascinating but it wasn't anything that I haven't read before. The pace was a bit slow for my liking. I liked how the story moved back and forth between the past and the present but there were things which were irrelevant to the main plot and could've been avoided.

In Shiver, we travel to the French Alps, where a group of friends are arriving for a reunion. Ten years ago, the group met while training for a snowboarding competition. That fateful winter, things took a tragic turn, and one of their own went missing. The reunion turns deadly when five friends discover someone has deliberately stranded them in a deserted mountaintop resort.

I really liked the mystery, and the eerie atmosphere, the writing was engaging but that being said, It failed to blow me away. I didn't like any of the characters. The 'wow factor' was lacking for me. I wasn't even slightly surprised coz I guessed the ending correctly, which is always a bummer.

Overall, it was an average read for me. I would still recommend it coz it has got some really amazing reviews.
